THE APOCALYPSE DOES NOT ARRIVE AS DESTRUCTION. IT ARRIVES AS RELIEF.
ONE-HOUR SERIALIZED GROUNDED SCIENCE-FICTION THRILLER
In a divided America desperate for proof that things can still get better, Cortavyn, an experimental neural therapy, begins restoring memory and quieting trauma. As the breakthrough gains momentum, small anomalies begin accumulating within and beyond the institutions bringing it to the world. What first appears to be an extraordinary medical success begins raising a more unsettling question: what happens when something that genuinely makes life better may also be changing the terms of human autonomy?
What are we willing to surrender for relief?
At its heart, DARKARK explores the terrifying possibility that surrender may not feel like losing.

Jason Sabado is the creator and writer of DARKARK, a grounded science-fiction television thriller developed through extensive independent research and long-form story design.
Coming to screenwriting from outside the traditional entertainment pipeline, his professional background spans national account management, business development, management, entrepreneurship, and client-facing leadership. That experience informs DARKARK’s focus on institutions, incentives, communication, technology, and human decision-making under pressure.
His nontraditional path also shapes his approach to development: protective of the series’ core identity, collaborative in the process, and open to experienced creative partnership as the project moves toward production.
DARKARK grew from his interest in the mind, identity, emerging technology, institutional behavior, and the unintended consequences that can follow when something genuinely beneficial begins changing the terms of human autonomy.

Pilot and select series development materials are available for professional consideration upon request.
